When we told you about the special election in New York to fill the congressional seat vacated by Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand, and that we had a chance of winning it back for conservatives, you responded and we were able to send a message to Washington, D.C., that Obama’s massive spending is not wanted.

The election was held Tuesday — and the race right now is a tie with some 10,000 absentee ballots still to be counted.

We are confident that Republican Jim Tedisco will be certified the winner.

The media spin on this result has been amazing. But here’s the truth — it’s a stunning blow to President Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Harry Reid, and the Democrats.

Why?

Remember that Democratic Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand who vacated the seat had carried this district with 61 percent just five months ago!

Obama even beat McCain handily in the same district.

Yet, with your help, we were able to battle the Democrats to a tie yesterday.

The TV ads that you generously helped us produce and air in New York informed the voters of many things about Democrat Scott Murphy that the liberal media would never have told them.

And we are still fighting and still informing — and we still need your help.

Since battling the Obama forces in November, winning over nearly all of the undecided voters for Sen. John McCain and his running mate Gov. Sarah Palin in our last minute stand, The National Republican Trust PAC has delivered two major blows to the Obama forces.

As you recall we helped U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss from Georgia win his seat back in a runoff election — and on Tuesday March 31, we spent more than any other Republican organization to help elect Republican Jim Tedisco in a special election in New York to take the place of a Democrat who took Hillary Clinton’s seat in the senate.

Obama himself, as well as Joe Biden and many other big-name Democrats, jumped in and spent millions to try to elect Democrat Scott Murphy.

Even though we have won the last two rounds, and the Obama machine is weakening, we still have a long way to go.

We don’t pull any punches.

We at The National Republican Trust PAC were willing to say what no one else would about Barack Obama and his radical left agenda.

During the presidential election we ran ads exposing Obama’s close ties to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s radical pastor who blamed the horrific attacks of Sept. 11 on America.

We could not stand by and allow Americans to go to the polls last November without knowing of Obama’s longstanding relationship with this divisive and treacherous preacher of anti-American hate, so we raised and spent over $6 million on television ads reporting to voters the important information that the so-called mainstream media refused to tell them about Obama and his deep connections to Wright and his radical plan to give driver’s licenses and welfare benefits to illegal aliens.

Since the election we have continued to fight the Obama agenda, daring to stand up against the Obama machine. We were able to win the all-important Senate runoff for Republican Saxby Chambliss which is the crucial vote in the Senate that keeps Obama from having a filibuster-proof majority.

When Obama’s enormous spending bill was being debated in the Senate, we took a stand for America’s future generations and announced that we would help finance a primary opponent to any Republican who voted for Obama’s bill.

That sent a powerful message to our fellow Republicans that playing nice with those who seek to destroy us is no longer an option.

Marching onward, we took a particular interest in the special election in New York. We knew that taking a seat held by a Democrat and turning it back to Republican wouldn’t be easy, but we also knew that it was extremely important to send a message to Obama, Reid, and Pelosi and the rest of the organized radical syndicate that call themselves the Democratic Party that Americans were now on the move, and we are taking our country back.

They truly believe that the time is now to force their long-held socialist beliefs on our great nation and begin the mass redistribution of wealth from those who have built this nation one brick and one building at a time for generations to whomever wants their piece of the American Dream at other people’s expense.

Well my fellow Americans, I take this personally — and I know many of you do too.

Friends, too many great Americans have shed their blood around the world in defense of the freest nation in history to just give it away to a band of sweet-talking socialists. I am staying and fighting, and I hope you are with me because I really need your help.

We have many important races coming up in the 2010 mid-term elections; this is where we can make our move to take the country back.

We need to get started early, and I need to know I can count on your help as we take on this difficult task of finding conservative candidates who will take on the Democrats head on.
